Privacy
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the PaceMaster app, website, and related services. In this policy, “PaceMaster,” “we,” or “PaceMaster Team” refers to PaceMaster Team.
We try to keep the data story simple. Live sharing is not on by default, and location data is only synced after you explicitly start a sharing session.
1. Information We Process
- Training and preference data, such as pace inputs, finish-time targets, training-zone parameters, preferences, and recent activity history.
- Purchase and subscription status, including whether premium access is active and related Apple App Store transaction state.
- Live sharing data, such as Runner ID, session details, and location samples, when you explicitly start a location-sharing session.
- Usage analytics data collected through Firebase Analytics to help us understand feature usage and screen views.
2. How We Use This Information
- To provide pace conversion, race prediction, training-zone calculation, training planning, and related app features.
- To verify purchases, restore purchases, and determine which premium features are available.
- To enable live sharing after you start a session, so authorized followers can view the current session in the app.
- To improve product quality, performance, and usability based on aggregated usage patterns.
3. Storage and Third-Party Platforms
- Some information is stored locally on your device to preserve recent inputs, preferences, and app state.
- Purchases, billing, subscription management, and refund rules are handled through Apple App Store / StoreKit.
- Live sharing relies on Apple iCloud / CloudKit and map capabilities rather than our own custom live-sharing backend.
- Usage analytics are supported by Firebase Analytics.
4. Live Sharing Details
- Live sharing only begins after you actively start a session in the app.
- Your Runner ID is used so other people in the app can find your current sharing session.
- Sync frequency can vary depending on battery-saving rules, permissions, network conditions, and device behavior.
- Location updates may be delayed or interrupted if you end the session, change permissions, lose network access, sign out of iCloud, or if the device restricts background activity.
5. Retention and Control
- You can limit future processing by stopping live sharing, changing system permissions, or deleting the app.
- Data stored locally is generally removed when the app is deleted or its local state is cleared.
- Data handled by Apple or Firebase may also be subject to those platforms' own retention policies.
6. Children and Sensitive Contexts
PaceMaster is not designed as a standalone service for children. If a use case involves another person's location or identity details, make sure you have the right to share or view that information.
7. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how PaceMaster handles data, contact support@psds.app.
